Community Room
Begin your fun day with tasty, free grab-and-go cold breakfast options in our brightly colored Community Room. Breakfast includes bottomless coffee, fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, yogurt, and much more! The Community Room boasts wonderful views of Fall River from the wrap-around balcony.
The Community Room seats 36 people comfortably and day-use reservations are available for your group. When booking for the day, amenities include the use of the entire room.

Firepit & Picnic Area
After a long day of activities, warm up with a crackling campfire on the banks of Fall River. Roast marshmallows and recall the day’s events. It’s a lovely way to spend quality time and break bread with friends and family or fellow travelers, the perfect nightcap for a perfect mountain day. Wood and kindling are provided free of charge; s’mores kits are available for purchase.
Whether you prefer to sit in a shady quiet spot along the gently babbling river or you want to lie back and soak up the warmth of the sun, we have a special place for you. Murphy’s has over six different picnic tables and seating areas located throughout our property, from picnic tables to Adirondack chairs to wooden swings facing the river, perfect for that moment of true relaxation that you’ve been seeking. We also have barbecue grills available for use; propane and grilling utensils are provided.
Swimming Pool & Hot Tub
Whether it’s a hot sunny day or a cold winter night, you can still make waves in our indoor heated pool! Murphy’s River Lodge is one of only five hotels in Estes Park to offer an indoor pool and is much loved by the young and young-at-heart.
Just a few feet away from the pool, we have an adults-only hot tub to help you relax and get away from the stresses that you left behind. Release those trail-weary muscles or just soak up the warmth as you gaze through our glass windows at the majestic mountains.
Activities at Murphy’s
Ready for some unique fun? Try your hand at a game of giant Jenga in the grass. Or perhaps cornhole or ladder ball is more your style. Whatever your pleasure, you’re likely to be joined by one of our resident elk! These huge and majestic creatures come down from the tundra to graze on our lawn, especially in the autumn as grass in the high country becomes scarce. The ones on our property seem to think this is their second home, much to the amusement of our guests. They make for some great photos (from a generous distance, of course!).
For some indoor amusement, we have a large selection of board games, DVDs, and books available to borrow free of charge. Get nostalgic with a tournament of Monopoly and Sorry, or cozy up to that movie you’ve always wanted to watch. Don’t forget the free popcorn!
