It is a beautiful day here in Estes Park. Sun is shining, temperatures are rising and the sky is as blue as can be! Everyone is starting to get excited for the spring and summer season!!! (FYI: Single night rooms available March 21st and the 28th!)
So tonight we are expecting to see around 8 inches of snow. Growing up in Texas this is very foreign to me, but I am very excited to see a true white winter. The hiking should be beautiful this weekend as the trails will be covered and more isolated than the other times of the year. Taking a walk with my dog by the shops and sipping coffee from some of the local coffee shops will be a nice change of pace, even if it is a bit nippy. Estes park is in a state of change
We just finished our Murder Mystery Party marking the high point of Fall for us. The staff and guests made it such a memorable night I think people will be talking about it for awhile to come. This was our first ever Murder Mystery Party and all in all I think it all came together great. There is no doubt we will be sure to host one next year. The future is also exciting with snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding and so many more winter sports coming available soon to our area. The new outside ice skating rink will be a great addition to our community and with the Winter Christmas lighting I can’t wait for our white Winter. I hope to see some familiar faces around the Lodge this Winter with our cold days ahead.
